[dropcap style=”style1″]W[/dropcap]hen a comics publisher needs to give its books a boost, it often promotes a big in-world event. Now, “Marvel Puzzle Quest” developers are using the same tactic.
Vietgame.asia – Mobile publisher D3 announced today that it is bringing Phoenix to its Marvel Puzzle Quest game. This new 5-star character will provide players with a way to lay down an enormous amount of damage on enemies — but due to the uncontrollable nature of her powers, the blast will also harm her allies as well.
Of course, Phoenix is the megapowerful version of the psychic and telekinetic mutant Jean Grey. She gained these powers after sacrificing herself and extending her abilities to their limit to save her friends and loved ones. The Phoenix power eventually consumed Jean Grey and turned her into Dark Phoenix, but that’s probably another collectible character.
Phoenix will begin showing up in Legendary booster packs November 12.
But Marvel Puzzle Quest isn’t just getting a powerful new character. It’s also introducing a new feature called Command Points. These are a new collectible that you get by completing challenges, and you can turn in 25 points for a chance to earn a 4-star or 5-star hero.
