Vietgame.asia – During the first week of April, Mortal Kombat X [Free] made its official mobile debut just ahead of its console and PC sibling’s launch the following week.
As expected, Mortal Kombat X on mobile was quite similar to Injustice [Free] or WWE Immortals [Free] in that it was a stripped-down fighting game with a heavy emphasis on collecting and upgrading your characters. Overall, it was actually pretty good, but holy cow was it ever buggy.
A week after release Mortal Kombat X got some new content in the form of new starter packs and an extra leg of the campaign. It was nice, but plenty of bugs still persisted, which was frustrating.
Now, about a month and a half after that first update, Mortal Kombat X has received its second update which adds the major new feature of a Challenge Mode which, for this go around anyway, will give you a chance to win a Raiden character. It also adds in two Kung Lao cards to the roster of playable characters. Finally, yes, the update claims that it fixes some bugs.
Mortal Kombat X launched with a ton of momentum, and I wonder if the myriad of bugs and exploits have ruined its potential. Only time will tell, but if you’ve been annoyed by the bugs while playing Mortal Kombat X and have been looking forward to that Raiden challenge that’s been teased on the menu screen ever since the game launched, make sure to grab this new update and let us know in the comments how it’s working out for you.
