Players in Fallout Shelter will become a manager (Overseer) for a community of survivors from a global nuclear disaster in Fallout.
Players will be controlling the dwellers in the vault with the task of making them happy at “anytime and anywhere”. The dwellers will be able to “level up”, equipped with supplies and weapons to increase in health, agility, intelligence, stamina … help them increase the ability to perform different tasks, especially when you sent them out of the bunker to explore the “dead land” – Wasteland.
Additionally, Fallout Shelter provides a various number of rooms in the vault: from the dining room, bedroom, entertainment room, bar to electricity producing room, water treatment room, elevator, classrooms… not only help the dwellers “satisfies” every day but also offers a fully entertainment and knowledge to them.

Extremely “Fallout”
A positive sign for Fallout Shelter developers from Bethesda Softworks is creating a feeling of familiar for the players (particularly the Fallout fan). In the game, you will see a far-away mountain – desolate land after a global nuclear catastrophe, with a “typical” vault built with thick iron door. Inside the property are full of dwellers recreated based on “model” of Pip-Boy.
In Fallout Shelter, costumes and weapons of the dwellers are adapted from Fallout. There are all kinds of armor, from the pajamas to the “legendary” T51b Power Armor (dedicated to the ‘Paladin’ of the Brotherhood of Steel Association). Weapons in the game are also very diversity, from common such as the 10mm Gun and Assault Rifle to rare such as Fat Man or Wazer Wifle.
Especially Fallout Shelter also has the appearance of both the main and supporting characters from Fallout 3, and some characters will appear in Fallout 4 as Amata, Rush, Sarah Lyons, Bittercup, etc.
These “legendary dwellers” will become residents of your managed vault if they can be “unlocked” through the ‘Lunchbox’ (a not-too-strange things with the fans of this franchise), or use the calling function of the radio. For more Lunchboxes, players can use real money to buy or completing tasks set by the system.
Most of the legendary dwellers are “unlocked” from Lunchbox have higher S.P.E.C.I.A.L Vault index. In addition, some of them have been equipped with good weapons and armors, to help players to feel easier in the journey as the ‘Overseer’.

“KEY” FEATURE
[/su_icon_panel]
“New perspective” in Fallout
Although developed by the “father” of Fallout 3, Fallout Shelter is totally opposed from Fallout 3. Instead of building an RPG game likes one on PC, this mobile game is intended for management simulation, specifically in the role of an Overseer (The supervisor). You will be challenged with managing the operating activities in order to maintain and turn your Vault (bunker) into a “post-apocalyptic paradise”.
It may sound “easy”, but managing the vault is not a simple task. In the role of an Overseer , you will have to arrange jobs for members of the Vault such as feeding them, decide what armor to wear, construction of electrical systems, classrooms, med-bay… Sometime players have became a “pimp” to secure the future generation for the Vault.
Worried for your citizens have been difficult, you also have to fight both the “inside and outside” enemies. They are the attack of thief gangs (Raider) from Wasteland or from mutant cockroaches and fire. [su_quote]After experiencing Fallout Shelter, surely you will realize that being Overseer of Vault-Tech is not always a happy road[/su_quote]
If asked whether mutant cockroaches, fire or Raider is appearing when players are in bedtime? The answer is even if you turn off the game, life is still flow in your “fortified Vault”. Child will keep going to be born; food, drinking water are still used, and of course, cockroaches, fire and the “uninvited” guest still “visit” you anytime they want. If you “forget” Fallout Shelter for a while, it means that you will have to play again from the beginning.
After experiencing Fallout Shelter, surely you will realize that being Overseer of Vault-Tech is not always a happy road.

“Consume” lots of time
For players, perhaps the most annoying thing in Fallout Shelter is to forces you to “stick” your eyes on the screen almost “anytime and anywhere”.
As mentioned above, although the game is not for playing online but Fallout Shelter was developed in real survival simulation.
Life in Fallout Shelter still keeps going despite the players playing or not. The dwellers might die due to lack of food or were attacked by bandits and mutant cockroaches. The scenario of starting again in Fallout Shelter is very high.
For those who do not have much free time, stuck on the mobile screen for hours is like being “tortured”.[su_divider][su_icon_panel background=”transparent” border=”1px none #cccccc” shadow=”0px 0px 0px #eeeeee” icon=”icon: coffee” icon_color=”#1f6dc9″ icon_size=”70″]
SUGGESTIONS
- Decrease the strength of the cockroaches.
- Adding “relax time” for player, especially at night. [/su_icon_panel]
[su_quote]”Death by cockroaches” is probably the most ridiculous death in Fallout Shelter[/su_quote]
Unfortunately “disadvantages”
Although developed by a famous company, Fallout Shelter still cannot avoid some small disadvantages. Firstly, Fallout Shelter promises that it will run smoothly on IOS 7.0, but when the writer installs it on iPhone 4S and Ipad Mini, the game has been crashed for inappropriate system requirement.
Secondly, Fallout Shelter also has several ” ridiculous” situations, such as the bandits with knives, swords or weaken guns could breach the Vault’s door – which several meter thick – but can be easy eliminated by the dwellers live in it. Vault dwellers aren’t die because of old age, they are only “go to heaven” as being burned to death os cockroaches’ bite, and after that players can easily “revive” them with money.
Especially is the case of one cockroach can destroy a dozen dwellers in the Vault. The writer had been “crying and laughing at the same time” in this case. When I wake up in the morning, the Vault is almost had nothing left because of the attack last night, while dwellers in the Vault had been equipped with Power Armor, plasma guns and laser shot.
“Death by cockroaches” is probably the most ridiculous death in Fallout Shelter.
